wk 2 day 5 activity 1 - 3 wasting away

to be honest, I think it is kinda fair because they are probably trying to save a special kind of fish species and that the property is probably owned by someone who owns it or it is owned by a government or president private property but that is probably private info why you cant fish in those
areas. activity 1

activity 2
manawatu river
tarawera river
kaipatiki river

and I really don't think they're doing anything to help
but I think I know what they should do to help they should
put a sign or put a rule and put a stop to polluted rivers because if there is animals or creatures
there it is no longer a safe or healthy place for them to live
so no dumping in rivers or littering or any bad stuff being put in rivers
so lets keep our rivers beautiful

on of the strategies i would do this to fundraise for the beautiful reef

1. sell chocolate
2.have a market day
3.sell food and fruits

and i would do all this in the city or town like
place's that most people are or go sell chocolate
in mt . roskill or in a neighborhood

  1. Kia Ora Milika,

I’m Dani, I’m a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey. I grew up in Northland then I moved down to Auckland to study and now I live in Three Kings. I normally spend my time in the Kaikohekohe cluster but we decided I should see some of the awesome posts in the Ako Hiko cluster! I am looking forward to spending some time in Ako Hiko and I hope to see some great posts!

The rules and regulations around fishing (including fines) was created for a a few reasons. The daily limits of all fish species and shellfish enable the current fish population to have a chance to breed so the number of fish in our seas have a chance to increase. It also means that a few people can’t take all the shellfish or fish and that everyone has a chance to collect shellfish or go fishing. In different areas of water around New Zealand that rules are slightly different as some places have less of a particular fish than others. All the rules are open for people to read, nothing is private so if you wanted to find out more about it you can have a look on this website:

    https://www.mpi.govt.nz/travel-and-recreation/fishing/fishing-rules/

It’s great to see that you have found some names of polluted rivers in New Zealand. Almost all of the polluted rivers in New Zealand, have the local council working with other organisations such as Forest & Bird or the Department of Conservation ( DoC) to figure out ways to clean up the rivers. The task has asked if you can name the locations of the rivers and what is being done to clean up the rivers. Would you be able to edit your post to add this in. Maybe there have been plans to clean up these rivers but the plans haven’t be started yet? I’ll check back in to see if you have changed your post and then I can award you with the full points for this activity.

Tino pai Milika! You have come up with some great ways that could be used to raise some money in your local community help the Great Barrier Reef. One way I thought about fundraising for the Great Barrier Reef would be to sell reusable bags with information about the different fish that rely on the Great Barrier Reef. That way people would been more informed and they would be using less plastic bags, which is always a good thing for our environment. Do you think that is a good idea?

I look forward to reading more of your blog soon!

    Blog ya later,

    Dani
