Ata Mārie Milika, I hope you are having a groovy morning so far. What are you up to today?
Thank you for having a go at week four, day one, activity one about designing your own book cover for your favourite book. I really like how you’ve chosen Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter - it is such a classic book and is still read by children to this day, even though it is over 100 years old. Did you know it was that old? Peter Rabbit first appeared in a Beatrix Potter story in 1902!
What are some of your other favourite books? I don’t really have a favourite book but I love psychological thrillers, or books that are historical and have a strong lead female character!
Unfortunately I can only give you half points for this activity as the instructions ask you to create all of the images that you use on your book cover yourself. This means you could make it on google draw, or you could draw it on paper and photograph it and upload it, rather than using images that you find online. If you could have a go at re-doing this activity Milika, that would be fantastic! Then I can award you the full points for this activity.
Have a beautiful day and I look forward to seeing your updated post, Eliza :)
I can see you’ve edited your post, thank you so much for reading my comment and doing that! I can award you the full points now - ka pai! :)
I love your drawing of Peter Rabbit, it’s so cute! It kind of reminds me of a pokemon! Have you ever played pokemon before? I played ‘Pokemon Go’ when it first came out, but then it used way too much of the data on my phone so I had to stop playing!
When you complete the SLJ activities, it would be epic if you could comment on other people’s blogs. You can find them through this link: https://www.akohiko.org/blogging#h.p_fAClFGNc9sz_
Have a great afternoon and keep up the awesome blogging! Eliza :)
Hello Milika, Amazing drawing. Nice work! Oh, by the way have you realised the weather has gotten so much more hot. Have you been outside lately? I really like how you explained that you drew it on paper because it is easier. I also really like how you told us what the name of the book is. I think you are an amazing artist. I don't think my art work is great. I mean I am getting the slightest bit better, but not to much. I might have to work really hard to get better at writing. Maybe next time you could add some back story to the activity. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!
