Feast or famine

Julian is one of the funniest new zealand actors and he participated in a famine without a phone and personally i always go on my chrome book and i dont know how much time i spend on screent time but anyways. if I were to starve i would starve for 40 hours straight without my chromebook or tv and i think i can last that long but i dont really know and if it was  for charity then I would definitely do 40 hours of famine especially to lose weight but to also help others who are in need of food or treatment because there are some people who are less fortunate than us and they deserve food and water and an education and that is why i would do the 40 hour challenge! if julian can do it i think i can do it too Image result for julian dennison"

  1. Hello Milika,
Once again I am met with yet another amazing blog post! I really like this blog post! Let me elaborate on why I like it. Firstly, you added a picture of Julian Dennision. Secondly, you didn't just add any old picture you added a picture of him when he was doing the Famine. You also attributed it. Good job for doing that! If I did the Famine I would give up either devices or food. Maybe next time you could add a bit more information about why you want to do the Famine. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!

  2. Namaste Milika,

It's nearing the end of your journey! I'm excited to read more and more of your blog posts because of the amount of effort that goes into them. Keep it up!

Well done for crediting your image! I think the picture you included really shows off Julian's goofy and radiant personality. Do you like Julian? I feel like he seems like such a caring and willing person that wants to help people. He was so incredible to participate in the 20-40 hour famine without phones, that seems like a really big thing to people nowadays!

You are so friendly and caring to want to participate in the famine for 40 hours to help others in need. What you've chosen is a really big commitment - no food or devices! That is so kind that you are ready to give up so much of your time. I agree with you that there are people in the world who aren't as fortunate as us.

In the future, would you like to help people? I would like to be a doctor and help people who need it. I like your attitude; YES, there are people who deserve food and an education! Even though you are giving up your time, you still receive something even better back :).

Your dedication is on point! You're right - if Julian can do it, so can the rest of us!

Don't stop your blogging and hard work Milika!

  4. Kia ora Milika,

Thanks for sharing why you’d do the 40 hour famine, I think it’s an admirable thing to do! I can tell you’re a really caring and empathetic person just by hearing you talk about helping others who are less fortunate than you. I totally agree with what you’ve said about how everyone should have the right to an education. Have you heard of Malala Yousafzai? She is an amazing Pakistani activist for female education and has even won a Nobel Prize for trying to achieve this goal!

It makes you feel so good inside when you are being kind, thoughtful and helpful towards others, doesn’t it :)

I have never done the 20 or 40 hour famine but I fast for 16-18 hours a day anyway so I think I could do it pretty easily! I would put the money towards young mothers in New Zealand who need financial support.

Thanks for your brilliant post! Keep it up!
    Eliza :)
