It's Leslie here, reading your blog as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I have never had to think about lifting up a squid, let alone a 500 kg squid. Have you?
I think your maths solution is excellent. I agree that if each adult can lift 25 kg then it would take 20 of them to move the squid.
I live in a part of Canada that is covered with fresh water lakes and rivers. We don't have squid in our waters, nor are any of our water creatures that big. I don't know what I'd do if I met a 500 kg sea creature!!
Have been down to your local beach this summer? I hope you're getting lots of opportunities to have fun in the sun, as well as spend time on these activities.
You're doing a super job of adding graphics to your postings - you're making your blog really interesting to read, thank you!!
I'm looking forward to reading more of your postings. Keep up your great work.
