Wow, I love how ambitious you are because you want to attempt to climb Tane Mahuta? Did you know he stands about as tall as 10 single story houses? I am in awe of how tall he is. I have never visited the majestic tree, but one day I hope to. The Department of Conservation has been trying their hardest to protect the tree as their is an awful disease killing Kauri trees. It is called Kauri Dieback. Maybe I should visit the tree before they shut the track that takes us to Tane Mahuta.
If Tane Mahuta stands at 51 metres tall, he must have been growing for a very long time. How old do you think he is?
