  1. Kia Ora Milika,

It's me Gargee! I'm back on your blog to see more of your fabulous posts. I'm so excited to comment on this post: because it's amazing! Are your holidays going well?

This poster you have created is so wonderful! I like how you included steps on how to cope with your personal feelings, I think it's so creative. I admire your attitude and the way you give help, especially when you said 'remember no one is perfect and everyone has flaws'. That is so beautiful!

You are right that we need to show empathy for those who may have an illness. You seem like such a kind and caring person! I think that we should have posters similar to this one to help people who don't know how to cope with their feelings. How did this idea come to mind?

I think you could include something about joining the organisation to give the message to people that they can further help people :).

I really like the pictures that you have put on the poster. Did you make them yourself, or did you find them off the internet?

Keep up the awesome work Milika!

  2. Ahiahi pai Milika,

Thanks for completing week three, day four, activity three - your poster is absolutely outstanding! I can tell you’ve put so much effort into this activity. Did you enjoy doing it? Have you learnt much about mental health and well being before doing this activity?

I totally agree with all the points you’ve made on your beautiful posters - especially the one about people needing to be empathetic to those who are struggling with mental illness. We don’t tend to focus on mental health enough when we speak about ‘health’, because there is a ‘stigma’ around it - have you heard that word before? It basically means negative and often unfair beliefs that a society or group of people have about something or someone. But it is such an important thing to be having open conversations about, when it is safe to do so.

The things I do to keep mentally healthy (or as some call it ‘self-care’) are exercise (I love to run, box, and dance), meditate, get enough sleep, take breaks when I feel I need to, and surround myself with people who are positive and make me feel good about myself.

What do you do for your self-care to keep yourself mentally healthy?

Thanks for posting and have a fabulous day,
    Eliza :)

  3. Hello Milika,
I am a bit late to this post. I apologise for that. Anyways, I really enjoyed reading this blog post! Let me tell you why. Firstly, you gave steps for people who have mental health to help them out. Secondly, you comforted people by saying no person is perfect. I think you are correct. No one is perfect. Personally, I have never had any problem with mental health, but I know lot of people out there are. Maybe next time you could add a bit of back story to the activity. Overall, this is phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!
